Description

This course introduces the careers and skills in automotive maintenance and repair. Topics covered include basic engine principles, suspension, steering, brakes, and more. Students learn how to change engine oil and complete basic automotive inspections and preventative maintenance procedures. This class may include an opportunity for an internship in an automotive repair shop where students will learn in the shop environment. There is potential for students to be hired from their internships upon completion of the class. Upon successful program completion students will receive an ROP Certificate of Proficiency.
